1. How long will it take?

How quickly a person responds to chiropractic care can vary greatly depending on the length of time the vertebral subluxation has been in their spine, though most people feel immediate improvement. It is important to remember that even though you may feel better, the underlying condition may take much longer to correct. When a condition has been present for long time, PAIN is the last thing to show up and the first thing that disappears. In many cases it may take several adjustments or a series of adjustments to make permanent changes in the spine.

2. Do I have to come forever?

Our office does not push 3x a week for many months treatment plans with thousand of dollars up front. If your problem is minor then there is a good chance your total number of visits would reflect this. If your problem is chronic in nature (has been present for months or years) then your total number of visits to get to relief will obviously take longer.

3. How should I feel after an adjustment?

Different people have different reactions depending on their condition (i.e. presence of swelling, inflammation and muscle spasms). The amount of time the condition has existed and the person's degree of sensitivity play key roles in this. Many people however will feel the following: peace and relaxation, relief of symptoms, and an overall improvement. As you continue your chiropractic care, your spine and nervous system continue to release deep seated stress, you may begin to notice better balance, smoother movement, and as a result, more energy.

4. What are the most important benefits?

Patients may find their symptoms have begun to disappear, and the problems that initiated the visit to the chiropractor have begun to lessen after the first visit. Some patients feel no difference after an adjustment. This does not mean they are not benefiting from their adjustments, but rather they're not feeling any external reaction. The true benefits of chiropractic care are the preventive benefits: a better night’s sleep, more energy and better nerve system function.

5. Does it hurt?

No. In our office we use gentle effective techniques which are painless and provide excellent results. We specifically have 3 different treatment rooms with 3 different tables that allow a wide range of Chiropractic techniques to be utilized. If you are uncomfortable with one technique, it is very easy to employ a more appropriate line of care that you feel comfortable with. After removing the vertebral subluxations of the spine the body is once again able to return to its normal function.

6. What can I do outside the office at home?

In our office, we recommend that you do the following once we have corrected your spinal misalignments.

1. Exercise and stretch
2. Follow proper nutrition
3. Reduce stress
4. Maintain proper posture
5. Get the proper amount of rest and sleep
6. Keep a positive mental attitude
